Gathering Blue is about a girl named Kira. Kira is a orphan with a twisted leg. The way it sounds Kira lives with some native people. Her dad was killed when he was out hunting. Her mother died from a sickness. So far Gathering Blue is a really good book but is really sad.

It does sound like a really sad and good book. Thats sad her dad and mom died!
I think that I would like that book. I have read a lot of books like it. But it is the kids that dye in my book.
Heather you really should read Gathering Blue. It is a very good book I quit reading it because i wanted to read Twilight. Kira acts just like you she is clam laid back and loves stories. I hope you read it.
